Product description

Duracolor.405 is a solution of stannous sulfate with
stabilizer to provide electrolytic coloring on aluminum during anodizing.

Features

  •  Duracolor 405 can produce variety of color shades
    on aluminum by simple tuning process.
  •  Duracolor 405 has high throwing power and excellent results can be obtained by monitoring the
    operating temperature.

Application

  • Duracolor 405 Electrolytic coloring is applicable only
    on aluminum in anodizing process with special mattention required to keep the operating temperature
    between 18 to 23 oC to obtain better coloring.
    Different shades of colors from golden champagne to black can be produced depending upon immersion time of work piece.

Equipments

Duracolor 405 tanks should be made of isolated
stainless steel or mild steel lined with rubber, PP,
PVC, or other acid resistant material.

  •  Cleaning and degreasing
  •  DI Water rinse
  •  Etching with Caustic Soda
  • Water rinse
  •  Desmutting
  •  DI Water rinse
  •  Anodizing
  •  DI Water rinse
  •  Coloring with Duracolor 405
  • Sealing
  •  DI Water rinse

Initial Preparation

  •  Add 100 – 120 liter of Duracolor 405 per 1000 liters of operating bath volume.
  •  Add 18 to 22 kg of sulfuric acid concentrated per
    1000 liters of operating bath volume.

Precautions

  •  Temperature of electrolytic coloring bath should be
    controlled with the help of chillier.
  •  Current variation may cause color variations.
     
  • To increase throwing power in electro coloring bath,
    Duracolor S can be used.
  •  Bath of Duracolor 405 should be covered when unused, clean and separated from pollutions and dust,
    keep the open container sealed from air.
