  • Duraphos 656 is a manganese iron phosphate product used to produce heavy iron manganese layer in immersion process.

Feature:

  • Duraphos 656 provide corrosion protection during storage and transportation.
  • Duraphos 656 produce heavy porosity layer of manganese phosphate, improves corrosion resistant, decrease wear friction, and enhance the oil absorption properties of surface.
  • Duraphos 656 is used with accelerator.

Application:

Duraphos 656 is used in immersion applications on steel and mild steel.

Equipment:

The main process tank can be fabricated from stainless steel or acid resistant material. All other equipment in contact could be of stainless 316(L)

Process Sequences:

  • Acid cleaning and pickling with HCl or H2SO4
  • Water Rinse.
  • Water Rinse.
  • Activation
  • Manganese Phosphating with Duraphos 656
  • Water Rinse.
  • DI Water Rinse.
  • Drying

Initial Preparation :

For each 1000 liter operating bath:
  • Add 200 liter of Duraphos 656, add chemical to water.
  • Add 100 liter of Accelerator Duradd 65.
  • Add 40 liter of Duradd 14 slowly to bath while mixing,
To adjust free acid. Check the FAP after each partial additive of Duradd 14.

  • 0.1N Sodium Hydroxide Solution.
  • Bromophenol blue Indicator or Methyl orange
  • Phenolphthalein Indicator.
  • 50% Sulfuric acid solution.
  • Conical flask 100 ml.
  • Glass Burette 50 ml.
  • 10 & 50 ml pipette.
